Unit Description

This unit provides students with an introduction to contemporary Japanese language. It develops basic aural, oral, reading and writing skills. Attention is given to the development of socio-cultural as well as linguistic proficiency in Japanese. Students should aim to learn hiragana, katakana and approximately 75 kanji.
