Business School Upgrade

Lecture theatres 1,2 and 3 and tutorial rooms 1,2,3,4 in the EBL building were constructed in the 1970's and had little or no refurbishment since their original construction. All three lecture theatres are used extensively by disciplines from all over the university including Business, Law, Mathematics, Social Work and Psychology.

Lecture Theatre 1

Each of the three lecture theatres were in desperate need of refurbishment as there were numerous broken seats which cannot be repaired, damaged flooring with large cracks in the linoleum and in water damage to the ceilings due to long-term leaks in the roof. The audio-visual facilities in these lecture theatres were also in dire need of an upgrade to meet modern day teaching needs.

Lecture Theatre 2

Tutorial Rooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 were small tutorial rooms which needed refurbishment and redesign to give more flexibility in terms of the size of tutorial or workshop sessions held in these rooms.

Lecture Theatre 3

As seen in the completed photos all the spaces have been refurbished including installation state of the art audio visual teaching componentry.

EBL Tutorial Room
