Finance Refurbishment Photo

The University Of New England's Financial Services Directorate is located in the heart of the Campus in the T C Lamble administration building. The Directorate, located on the ground floor was lacking functionality & a distinct corporate identity. The architects brief was to provide a modern open plan office space capable of accommodating up to 70 staff members in a vibrant and comfortable work environment.

The Department deals with sensitive issues for students in addition to financial transactions requiring the layout to accommodate a need for privacy. Its 'hidden' location needed a strong identity that would translate beyond the main reception and into the open plan office.

The refurbishment was to reflect a more professional entry and open plan work area and offices that would accommodate an ability to allow a better team environment for all sections within the directorate. The works included new works stations, glazed office and meeting spaces. The new entry foyer and reception allows for a more professional meet and greet area. The refurbishment commenced in February 2010 & was completed some six months later in July.
