Unit information
As digital technology in relation to music performance and creation continues to develop and advance, you must know how to embrace it and use it in your music classroom in order to be effective and engaging for your students.
In this unit you will develop competency using ICT skills and specific ICT tools in your classroom music teaching and develop a strong practical basis for using selected ICT tools to enhance students’ music learning opportunities (creation tools, videoconferencing tools for remote learners).
The unit investigates a range of ICT music teaching resources that can increase students’ motivation to learn music in the classroom and gives you a solid foundation of understanding when it comes to the legal and ethical use of ICT music teaching resources such as copyright rules for downloadable resources, Youtube, printed music and scores.
