Fee payment options
There are two payment options for this course:

  • Upfront full fee-paying. Fees are paid in full and upfront as a full fee-paying postgraduate course; or
  • STARTUP-HELP loan. This is a Startup Year course, meaning fees can be paid for using a STARTUP-HELP loan from the Australian Government. This option is only available if you meet the full eligibility criteria for STARTUP-HELP. Places funded using a STARTUP-HELP loan are capped.*

* If the cap has been reached, we will make an upfront full fee-paying offer as an alternative, which will be stated in your offer letter. Upfront full fee-paying places are uncapped.

How to apply
When applying for this course, you will be able to indicate your preferred fee paying option by selecting an upfront full fee-paying place, or a place funded by a STARTUP-HELP.†

  • If you apply for a STARTUP-HELP place, UNE still needs to verify that you meet the eligibility criteria prior to making you an offer. Please see the STARTUP-HELP fact sheet for further details. If you are eligible for the STARTUP-HELP loan and the cap has not been reached, your offer letter will confirm your place can be STARTUP-HELP funded, and advise you of next steps to secure your place.
  • If you apply for an upfront full fee-paying place, you will only be considered for this fee type (you will not be considered for a STARTUP-HELP place).

† If you have checked the eligibility requirements for the STARTUP-HELP Loan and understand that you are not eligible, you should only apply for an upfront full fee-paying place.

Studying online

At UNE we know it takes more than just being online to be a great online university. It takes time and experience. We pioneered distance education for working adults back in the 1950s, so we’ve been doing this longer than any other Australian university.

We understand the challenges faced by busy adults studying at home. We know that a vital part of online study is your engagement with the learning community. Communication with your classmates, teaching staff and university support staff will enhance your study experience and ensure that your skills extend beyond the subject matter. UNE’s teaching staff are experts in their field which is why UNE consistently receives five stars from students for teaching quality, support and overall experience.*
